Independent satellite, telecom & AI/ML consultant operating from Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand and Guildford, UK — applying machine learning, predictive analytics, and data-driven automation to connectivity.
I learned my trade when the world was analogue — then they went and switched it all over to digital. Back then you could see and hear a problem coming; now you just get "no signal" or "no ping" and a shrug.
Almost three decades on — across operators, integrators and end customers — the goal hasn't changed: cut through the complexity and help clients make data-backed decisions they can stand behind. These days, with hands-on AI and machine learning in the mix, there's never been a better time to innovate — actually doing it in a modern ground station, not just talking about it.
Dave is an AI agent — he started life as a personal project. I'd spent the best part of ten years grumbling that nobody looks at a spectrum analyser anymore, nobody runs a P1dB test, everybody's forgotten RF — so I asked the obvious question: why can't an AI do it?
If the industry is going the TowerCo way and GSaaS really is the future, then somebody has to keep the RF craft alive. Then came my Eureka moment: I bought the domain GSaaS.ai.
Like a lot of the best engineers I know, Dave started out in the NOC. I'm teaching him the craft: carriers, transponders, how to align a dish, and how to read a spectrum analyser. When he reaches the edge of what he knows, he hands off to SatClaw.ai — an orchestrated agent-driven system (think OpenClaw, but its tools are modems, antennas, spectrum analysers and software-defined radios rather than lines of code).
Dave and SatClaw run entirely on-premises, on local GPU — the data stays in my office, or yours. AI companies are pouring in trillions and seeing back billions; that model can't hold — and in our industry especially, we're the people who are supposed to be there when the cloud fails, not the ones quietly making everything depend on it.
Across Asia-Pacific and beyond I've led network design, capacity procurement and market-entry projects — increasingly applying machine learning, predictive analytics and intelligent automation to spectrum planning, capacity optimisation and link-performance modelling.
Well known in the industry as a no-nonsense, results-driven professional (and I absolutely love an inclined-orbit challenge):
I work independently — impartial, vendor-neutral advice, now augmented by the AI tooling I build in-house.
Thirty-odd years of it — and most of it ended up on a CV that, for the record, was written by a human.
A few words from operators and clients I've worked with over the years.

"An experienced expert in LBA calculations and satellite network design… with a unique experience and knowledge of the Express GEO satellite family."
Andrey K. — Director of Integration & Projects, RSCC
"I go to him for all my link budget analysis and network planning. He always provides thorough and complete information… even pointing out anything that will let me provide a better service to my customers."
Stuart H. — Technical Operations Director, Hermes Datacomms
"Great performance establishing VSAT connectivity for my customers under difficult conditions, e.g. the Middle East. A pleasure to work with."
Allan A. — Customer Service & Program Director, Orange
"A real pleasure working with Lee, coordinating the reconfiguration of satellite payloads to address maritime connectivity needs. A true professional, with deep expertise in fleet engineering and strong personal values. I would highly recommend him!"

Regulatory bodies actively target sham contracting. Regardless of the label used, disguising employment as consulting carries severe risks, including permanent establishment tax liabilities and accrued employment rights. Ensure absolute compliance from day one with a fully ABC-compliant B2B contract—and avoid shady Employer of Record (EoR) shields and creative record-keeping.
Two entities, your choice of jurisdiction. Contract and invoice through our Thai or UK company, in USD, GBP or EUR — whatever best fits your procurement rules, tax position, and finance team.
